An OSFie but a goodie!

Posted by roggen under Fooding

The Old Spaghetti Factory, a place we have been going to for years.  This night was about the same as any other night at the OSF.  Not especially good but never bad.

We tend to order the same things each time.  I do the Potpourri with Clam, Mizitira Cheese, Meat Sauce and Marinara.

Kori got the Chicken Parm.  Which is always a good choice.

As always we got the standard Spumoni Ice cream at the end.

When ever there is a time when you are not sure what you want to eat, OSF is always a good choice.

Good Fooding!

One of our new found favorites is the Red Iguana!  I know that it has been around for a long time but we only recently had the pleasure of enjoying their food.

And boy am I glad we did.  Everything that  I have had there has been fantastic.  The seasoning is amazing.  The joint is even fun to go to.  You have to wonder if you are going to get mugged but once inside it is great.

And the decor seems very authentic for something/somewhere!

Once the food gets to the table you get to dive right into spice heaven!

Great now I am hungry again!

If you have never been there you need to.  And if you need some company give us a call we are willing to to at any time!

I have seen “The Park Cafe” a number of times but up until now had never been there.  I will say that it receives just an OK.  The wait was quite long to get a table.  The food was good, but after eating at the Blue Plate the day before it just didn’t stack up.  The location is nice if you want to go for a walk in the park to while away the wait.  I did like the decor and the service was fast once we were seated.

This is one place that I have been wanting to try for a while now.  We finally made it there and it was so worth it.  I have to say that the breakfast I had is right up there with the best of them and may even be the top!

We had heard that there could be a bit of a wait, but we were able to get right in, my kind of dining!

I had the Corned Beef Hash plate.  Up until this day I have never had this good a’ plate of Hash!  They use REAL corned beef and mix it with the best seasoned potatoes I have ever had!  Then to the side you get eggs, what ever style you want and toast!

Kori had the Blue Plate which was good, just not as good.

So the next time you are looking for a really good breakfast give the Blue Plate a try!

We saw this poster as we were leaving and had to make a memory of it!

So I have been to Ruth’s Chris a few times and it is always good. I have to say that I don’t even mind paying the price for dinner every once in a while.

This time we had the dinner special which come with Soup Main Dish and Dessert. All of which were fantastic. I didn’t take too many pics as I didn’t want to annoy people with the flash, but the food was good as always.

In your face, Pat!

Pat’s in your face BBQ is one of those hidden gems in SLC.  Me being such a foodie and also loving to cook my own BBQ makes them even better.

It is my understanding is that Pat’s doesn’t do any advertising, all of their business is word ‘o’ mouth!  Which is okay with me.

We ordered the Brisket and pulled pork plate to share, which was more food than the two of us could eat!  But soooo good!

As you can see this is some mighty fine BBQ, no grillin’ here!

So if you are ever in the mood for good BBQ, give me a call and I will meet you at Pat’s!

Game, set, Settabello!

Posted by roggen under Fooding

Kori and I kicked off a weekend long event of celebrating our 11th anniversary.  We dropped the kids off at the parents and headed for a weekend out on the town.

First stop, Settabello, a small pizzeria in SLC located next to the RedRock Brewery.  We have been here a few times and the food is always good.

We started off with the Fococcia as an appetizer.  This is a pizza crust that has been cooked in the wood fired oven and then the apply olive oil and italian spices to it.  Very good!

Next came the Main course.  I had the Pizza Diavola and Kori had the Pizza Margaretta.  Both are excellent choices.  I prefer the Diavola as it has a little kick to it.

You can see the different peppers and Sausages on the pizza and the crust is as good as I remember from eating at little pizzerias in Italy.

And if you still have room after this great meal you can order Gellato from the little Gellatoria that is next door.

Top notch food and the price is very reasonable.

We made a quick trip to the SLC farmers market for one of the last times it is going on this year.  There were lots of good looking things there.  I snapped a few pics.

3 guys at 5 guys!

Posted by roggen under Fooding

Went to “Five Guys Burgers and Fries” for Lunch yesterday.  I have been there a few times.  They are okay.  The burger always seems fresh and hot.  The fries are good for fresh cut.  I had them Cajun style this time, which was a good choice.  They do have lots of toppings to choose from.  I had mine with Jalapenos, grilled onions, lettuce, tomato and A1 sauce.   They are not on the top of my list for good eats, but they are still on the list of places I will go.
